2022 NFL Regular Season Begins Tomorrow Night with NFL Kickoff Game (Bills vs. Rams) on NBC, Peacock and Universo
STAMFORD, Conn. – September 7, 2022 – Entering their 17th season anchoring the NBC Sports schedule and ranking as the most-watched primetime shows on a weekly basis, Sunday Night Football and Football Night in America are debuting new logos, it was announced today.
The new SNF and FNIA marks have been reimagined for evolving, multi-platform distribution while maintaining a premium feel and acknowledging the shows’ legacies of excellence. In addition, the new logos have been created with a dynamic, clean look which will resonate in all applications from in-game graphics to marketing materials.
“We are excited to introduce this new brand system that continues to be distinct within the marketplace,” said Mark Levy, Senior Vice President, Original Productions and Creative, NBC Sports. “The new design is streamlined with a focus on signature typography that is uniquely NBC. The incorporation of the Peacock head from the iconic network logo was the creative inspiration for the SNF brand.”
This season’s SNF schedule begins tomorrow, Thurs., Sept. 8 on NBC, Peacock and Universo, with Matthew Stafford and the Rams raising their Super Bowl banner at SoFi Stadium before hosting Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in NFL Kickoff 2022…includes Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes facing off for the sixth time (Week 4), storied rivalries (Bears-Packers on Sept. 18, Cowboys-Eagles on Oct. 16), three holiday games, and the pressure-packed season finale in Week 18. Then it’s on to the postseason, where NBC Sports will showcase three games across the first two weekends of the NFL Playoffs.
